X1/9 abarth prototipo fuel pump & brake master cylinders

[Bernard_Darniche]

Hello everybody!
Do you know what fuel pump was in x1/9 abarth prototipo? Was it Facet? Was this one or two pumps? Were it was mounted?
Another question about brake master cylinders, i know that there were two Girling pumps, but what model?
Thanks for any answers.

Guy, I noticed twin pumps in your AMA winner as well. Can you explain what the setup is:
- parallel or serial?
- pressure regulator?
- facet red tops?
- Ideal pressure for twin webers? 4 psi?

Thanks!
Peter

the are in serie ,whithout regulation and red top facet

[guy moerenhout]

for me 3,5 psi

Thanks for the quick reply!

I am not sure what happens, but if you put them in serie, aren't you doubling the pressure? Is that the reason? What happens if one pump fails?

[guy moerenhout]

I have for each pump a swith and the are not working in the same time

Now, I understand! It is for reliability reasons. Thanks very much, Guy!
