Hi

I know that in Germany they had to have a locking shifter or locking steering starting in the early 1960s,

Does anyone  have a photo of them ?

Thanks

Dave

Hi, Dave,

My car was made in Germany and has a steering wheel lock.
I'll try to take some photos tomorrow and post them.

I put another post up about Neckar cars, which is what the German-made Fiats were called

Here are some views of the steering wheel lock. Note the key positions in German.

THanks for the photos,

how far is it behind the steering wheel ?
it look like it buried pretty far down and hard to get to,

It looks like the ones installed on German market VWs

In the top picture you see a black area at the upper left corner. That is the black vinyl-covered pad that runs along the bottom of the dash.
