Where are you located?
Are you somewhere where you can get the oil Guy recommends?

How do you use the car?
Unless you drive the car really hard and get the oil really hot you don't need that much viscosity and a 20W-50 oil is too thick for good flow at startup.
A 10W-40 gas / diesel oil like Delvac or Rotella T is a better choice for most people because it has more ZDDP to prevent camshaft wear.

Hello Kammtail

If the 1050 motor is standard compression then the highest octane fuel available at the station should be OK.  that would be 95-98 in Europe and 92 Octane in the USA (Please be aware that there are different rating methods, and that the two fuels are EXACTLY the same "real" octane.

Any good oil for diesel TRUCKS (not cars) or most MOTORCYCLE oils have the correct levels of zinc and phosphorus for older vehicles with flat-tappet camshafts.  Oils sold in petrol stations for modern cars have had the chemicals reduced by over 70%, because they are not good for catalytic converters.

Check the Forum at www.scuderiatopolino.com for several good articles on oil and additives.

Paul
